Next Steps
Many times we run into this scenario...."OK, step one....check, but what's next." We know the first thing we need to do, but after that is a little bit mysterious. Many times church can be the same way, but we'd like to help you find the next steps for you at Calvary. Whether you've been to one service, or you've been coming for years, we'd like to help you find the best place for you to connect.
I've attended Sunday worship services, what's next...
Once you've attended one of our Sunday Morning Worship Services, we'd encourage you to check out an Adult Bible Fellowship or one of our Small Groups to help you further connect with people at Calvary.
Our Adult Bible Fellowships (ABFs) meet on Sunday mornings before the worship service from 9:15-10:45 am. Most classes are roughly based on life stage as well as a Men's and Women's class. These classes offer strong Biblical teaching and a group of people for you to get to know.
Small Groups meet on various nights during the week and allow you to develop quality friendships with 8-12 other people. There are groups designed for life stage, geographic location, or by random connections.
So after that, what's next....
At this point, we'd love to encourage you to look towards becoming a member. Membership brings with it a few different privileges and responsibilities. Members are able to serve in various ministries at Calvary, they are able to vote in church matters, and they are expected to financially support the ministry of Calvary Baptist Church. The amazing thing is all three of these areas really are both a privilige and a responsibility. If you have questions about membership, please contact John Shinn.
Along with membership and finding an area to serve, we'd also encourage you to look into one of our in depth Bible studies if you are looking to grow. We have Women of the Word studies on Tuesdays as well as the Men's Fraternity on Thursday mornings. There are also classes available at times on how to share your faith, how to study the Bible, and a few others.
Finally, we'd encourage you to invite your friends, neighbors, and co-workers. A simple invitation can be a great way to introduce others to relationships with God and with others that you have been able to enjoy.
