Favorite part of my job: teaching God's Word and showing how it applies to real life.
If I could do anything else I would...be encouraging missionaries around the world. Joan and I value every opportunity we get to travel, see missions in action and encourage those serving God in strategic locations overseas.

Biography
Dr. Tony Beckett, Senior Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Canton, Michigan, says his passion is “to help people understand the Word of God and see how it affects the way they live.” His more than 25 years of ministry experience includes serving churches in Iowa, Ohio and Pennsylvania, as well as working with mission agencies, camps and church leadership councils.
Tony is the former Associate Bible Teacher for the international media ministry, Back to the Bible, of Lincoln, Nebraska and has served as Chaplain for the AAA affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. He is the author of Real Life, Real Worship and God is Good and has co-authored three Bible study guides with Dr. Gene Getz and a daily devotional entitled, Faith Walk. He received his M.Div. from Biblical Theological Seminary of Hatfield, Pennsylvania and his D.Min. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School of Deerfield, Illinois. Currently he serves on the Executive Board of the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism and is an adjunct faculty member for Shepherds Theological Seminary in Carey, NC and Michigan Theological Seminary in Plymouth, MI.
He and his wife, Joan, have three daughters, Katie, Rebekah who is married to Mark Cross, and Lauren.
