Backpack Project!

We’re partnering with Central Detroit Christian to provide 100 backpacks for kids in need. Backpacks will be distributed to kids aged elementary through high school who are part of CDC’s ministry programs.

Participating is easy as 1-2-3!

  1. Grab a tag from the church lobby.

  2. Purchase a backpack and supplies using the lists provided.
    ***Tags do not need to be attached to/included with backpacks.***

  3. Bring your backpack to the church lobby by August 9!

 

Supply List for ALL Ages

  • New backpack (no wheels)

  • One 1.5" Three-Ring Binder

  • One wide ruled, 1 subject notebook

  • One pack wide ruled filler paper

  • One manual pencil sharpener

  • One box 24 count crayons

  • One 12" ruler

  • Two small glue sticks

  • One pencil holder/pouch

  • Two 2-pocket folders

  • Six #2 pencils (pre-sharpened)

  • Six medium ballpoint pens

  • One pair of scissors

  • One standard size bottle hand sanitizer

Backpack Rally

Join our Calvary volunteer team at CDC’s Backpack Rally on Saturday, August 15, 9:30am-2pm as we distribute our collected backpacks and help prepare over 600 students with what they need to begin a new school year: Jesus and supplies!
