Calvary Women is part of CBC's mission to help people follow Jesus together by giving women opportunities and tools to follow Jesus with other women. We have Bible study classes, events and groups for women. In our classes, groups, and at our events, women can:

• grow in knowledge, understanding and love for God;

• build relationships with one another and the community and world around us;

• and be challenged and equipped to live out His mission, all fueled by the unchanging Word of God.

August 2026 Prayer Focus

After a year of praying through Psalm 145, we have come to the final verse, Psalm 145:21:

My mouth will speak the praise of the Lord, and let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever.

Remember back to verse 1 as well:

I will extol you, my God and King, and bless your name forever and ever.

Why do I extol and speak the praise of the Lord? Here are reasons we’ve found throughout this psalm…

- He is my God.

- He is my King.

- He is holy.

- His greatness is unsearchable.

- His acts are mighty.

- His deeds are awesome.

So may we extol—praise and honor—our God and King together! Let us pray to thank Him for being God, our King! Let’s pray that we’ll speak about His holiness, greatness, might, and awesome deeds to our family, friends, and neighbors.

Two August Calvary Women Reminders!

1-There’s still time to join our second book club reading Dust to Dust: Aging Wisely in an Anti-Aging World by Jen Wilkin that will be led by Laura Imlach on Monday Evenings, August 3 and 10 at 7-8:30pm in CBC Room 302. Books will be available in the lobby Sunday, August 2. Register in the lobby or HERE!

2-Make plans to join us for the Calvary Women 2026-2027 Kickoff on Sunday, August 30th at 6:30pm in CBC Room 303. We're trying something new this year with an evening kickoff to strive to include more women so save the date to hear about the events and Bible studies we'll offer in the ministry year ahead, as well as time to connect and pray together! More details coming soon!
