May 2026 Prayer Focus
Welcome to May! While May is typically filled with special events and celebrations for many of us, May 1st is always particularly special for me because it is my wedding anniversary. Dan and I have been married 27 years today! I praise God for every one of those years and all the blessing, challenge, struggle, fruitfulness, and formation they have included. The Lord has been merciful and kind to give me Dan Fulk as my husband and shepherd of our family.
We have a little bit of a different format for you this month as we continue to pray through Psalm 145 with verses 15 and 16. Instead of looking into the definitions of certain words in the verses, we’re going to focus in on some key points to remember and cross-references for these verses to guide our prayers. Please take the time now and many times throughout the month to pray all this with us!
Psalm 145:15-16—The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food in due season. You open your hand; you satisfy the desire of every living thing.
These verses are a reminder of God’s…
- Faithfulness, generosity, and attentiveness
- Encouraging us to trust in His provision
- Inspiring gratitude for His care over all creation
- Affirming that God’s hand is open to meet the needs of every living being
- Ultimately, all creation is sustained by God’s power
Philippians 4:19—And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
James 1:17—Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
Job 33:4—The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.
Jeremiah 32:17—Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.
Matthew 6:26—Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
Praying WITH you and FOR you,
Heidi Fulk, Calvary Women Director
