Calvary Women Summer 2025

The Lord has been so merciful to give us His Word, His Spirit, and His people. We seek to combine all of those in our Calvary Women Bible study classes, groups, and events.

Calvary Women will be offering three opportunities for that powerful combination this summer! Books will be available to pick up in the CBC Lobby and in the CBC main office beginning May 16th.

In-Depth Bible Study: Ezra

The book of Ezra testifies to the truth that God keeps His promises. For all God's people including those Ezra first wrote to and for God's people now, He makes a way for us to experience His presence, worship Him, and live in response to Him. We'll discover this and more in Ezra over three weeks by using the ESV Spiral-Bound Scripture Journal and an inductive bookmark to study and discuss this book together.

Heidi Fulk will lead this study on Tuesdays, June 10, 17, 24 at 7pm in Room 302 at CBC. ESV Scripture Journal and Inductive Study Bookmark is $6.

Mentoring Essentials: Growing Together by Melissa Kruger

We need one another. Yet we don’t always know how to develop relationships that help us grow in the Christian life. Spiritual mentoring offers a way for younger believers and more mature Christians to grow together through intentional discipleship and accountability. If you’re looking for a place to start, Melissa Kruger presents a guide for discipleship conversations that span a variety of topics for spiritual growth. Each chapter encourages both mentor and mentee to focus on the hope of the gospel as they learn together from the truth of God’s word. We'll discuss this book to give you the essentials of mentoring and tools to increase your confidence to be a mentor. No matter your age or season of life, there is someone younger in her faith or in age that you can come alongside with the truth, hope, and help found in God's Word! Please read the intro and chapters 1-5 for our May 27th meeting and chapters 6-11 for the June 3rd meeting.

Mothering Essentials: Gospel Mom by Emily A. Jensen and Laura Wifler

In a world filled with productivity tips, mom hacks, and endless influencers, it can feel overwhelming to know what faithful motherhood should look like. The good news? God isn’t asking you to fit the mold of the "ideal" mom—the only thing He’s calling you to be is a Gospel Mom. As we read and discuss this book over 5 weeks, we'll find out as the subtitle states: how to make biblical decisions and discover the mom God created you to be. It’s time to shake off all of the pressures we put on ourselves for who we “should” be as moms, and find freedom in a gospel motherhood.

Sam Bahr will lead a 5 week discussion about this book at her home (address will be sent after registration ends to all participants) on Wednesdays, July 9th - August 6th, 7:30-9pm. Gospel Mom book is $18.
