Join Us For First Hour!

First Hour meets during the hour before our Sunday Worship Service, 9:30-10:30 a.m., during the school year. It’s a chance to connect with others in the family at Calvary and explore Scripture on a deeper level. First Hour is considered the first “next step” in connecting at Calvary after you’ve attended our worship services. If you’re at the point where you’re calling Calvary your church home, we strongly encourage you to be involved in a First Hour class or group. Scroll to learn about the different options!

For Adults

Adult Bible Fellowships (or “ABF’s) are our First Hour offerings for Adults. Ranging in size from 15-20 to 40-50 people, these mid-size gatherings are built to function as “a church within a church”. Weekly meetings include teaching and/or discussion on a passage of Scripture, as well as fellowship, prayer, and member care. They are a great place to build friendships and grow together in your spiritual walk with Jesus. Visit the link below for class descriptions and locations.

For Kids

Our Calvary Kids team offers Nursery Care, Preschool, and Elementary classes for kids during First Hour each Sunday. Each classroom offers age-appropriate activities for kids to engage with the Bible and each other. Head to the Kids Check-In desk in the Main Lobby to check in and get direction to your child’s classroom location.

For Students

Calvary Students (6th-12th grade) gather in the Barn during First Hour each week. This time is specifically dedicated to training students in the practice of studying the Bible on their own. Utilizing tools and group practice, students are equipped and encouraged to grow in personal study of Scripture.
