You’re Invited!
Think about the last time you received an invitation—a card in the mail, a text, an Evite, or even a personal conversation. How did it make you feel? Often an invitation brings joy or excitement. Whether it’s to a party, a wedding, or a special event, invitations communicate belonging and inclusion.
As followers of Jesus, we have received the greatest invitation of all—a life-changing invitation to the hope that comes from a relationship with Him. The question is: Are we willing to share that invitation with someone else? How can we share it within the natural rhythms of our daily lives?
Consider this:
44% of adults say they are more open to God today than they were before the pandemic. Spiritual openness is increasing in the U.S.—many people are searching for purpose and connection with God and may simply need someone to show them how they can experience the hope that comes from a personal relationship with Christ. (Barna Study, 2022)
90% of pastors say Easter Sunday is the day their church has the highest worship attendance each year. (Lifeway Research, 2024) Calvary experiences the same trend.
Ultimately, this isn’t about inviting someone to church. It’s about inviting someone to begin a relationship with Christ and experience the hope of salvation.
Easter is the time when we celebrate Christ’s victorious resurrection. As we celebrate this incredible truth, consider:
Who will you celebrate the resurrection with?
Who might God be asking you to share the message of the cross with?
let’s step into this invitation together.
Ways to take a step:
PRAY – Ask God, “Who do You want me to invite to know You?”
Start a conversation – “What do you or your family usually do for Easter? Easter is very meaningful to me, and I’d love for you to join me. Would you like to come to church with me on April 5?”
Use a yard sign – Pick one up in the lobby (available March 15 while supplies last) and place it in your yard.
Follow up with a personal invitation – Pick up physical invitation cards from the lobby (available March 15), save the photo linked here to send via text/email, or write a personal note.
PRAY again – Ask God to reveal Himself, soften hearts, and transform lives.
Let’s trust God to work as we faithfully share the invitation of the gospel this Easter season!
