September 2026—Ministry Year Focus
The beginning of September includes lots of beginnings including schools, colleges, and our ministry year at Calvary. This past Sunday evening, it was an incredible joy and encouragement to have 56 women (and 3 babies!) at our Calvary Women Kickoff!! We were able to talk, get information, and pray intentionally together. We shared details (many you can find HERE) about our Fall Bible Study Classes and our Moms Together group. We also mentioned our Christmas Gathering planned for Monday evening, December 7th and our CW Prayer and Worship Night planned for Friday evening, March 19th. (Sidenote: We still have plenty of room for women to register for all four of our Bible study classes, but Moms Together is reaching capacity so register soon!
Another important part of the kickoff was my opportunity to share a focus I’m praying each and every woman connected with Calvary will strive towards in the coming year. I want to ask you to join me in setting your face, mind, and heart on Christ so that we will trust Him. OR because you trust Him, set your face, mind, and heart on Christ. On a particular day or in a particular circumstance throughout this year, you may start with that trust—Because I trust the Lord, I will set my face, mind, and heart on Him. On another day, in a different circumstance, you may start with the choice to set your face, mind, and heart on Christ so that you will trust Him.
This challenge comes straight from Scripture! We see the prophecy of Jesus setting His face towards the Cross in Isaiah 26:3-4, the fulfillment of that in Luke 9:51. We see the call and benefits of setting our heart on God in Psalm 91:14-17. And we find the blessings of setting your mind in Isaiah 50:7. So I’m challenging you, I’m exhorting you, and I’m asking you to pray with me throughout the next 12 months that we all would:
Set our faces, minds, and hearts on Christ so that we will trust Him. To say because we trust the Lord our God, we will set our faces, minds, and hearts on Him.
Praying with you and for you,
Heidi Fulk--Calvary Women Director
